Catherine Graham
CEO commonsku & President of RIGHTSLEEVE Marketing Inc. @cath_graham Catherine is in charge of running two companies. Prior to this, she spent several years doing financial planning for fast-track individuals and entrepreneurs at TD Bank. She was employee #4 at eBay Canada as and launched two categories in the Canadian marketplace.
After leaving eBay, she worked as a management consultant at A.T. Kearney, working with Fortune 100 companies in a wide variety of areas including merger integration, marketing strategy and operational efficiencies. She sits on a variety of boards and committees in the non-profit space, including the Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation. She is also involved in a number of initiatives and organizations in the entrepreneurial space, including Dell’s Global Entrepreneur in Residence Advisory Board and acting as a mentor for The Next36. Founder at SurePath Capital Partners @startupcfo Since 1999, Mark MacLeod has been helping fund, grow and exit venture-backed startups. He has over 14 years experience as a CFO for leading companies such as FreshBooks, Shopify,Tungle and many others.
He spent 3 years as a General Partner at Real Ventures, Canada’s largest and most active seed stage venture fund, where he led investments in a number of SaaS and e-commerce companies including Unbounce and Frank & Oak. Mark has raised hundreds of millions in capital from investors in Canada, the US and Asia. In addition he has sold companies to Airbnb, Blackberry, Rackable Systems, Return Path and others. His deep experience and passion for startups led him to start SurePath Capital Partners in order to guide and advise founders on how to fund, grow and ultimately exit their companies. Senia Rapisarda
Principal, HarbourVest Canada @seniarapisarda Senia Rapisarda joined HarbourVest in 2014 to focus on partnerships and direct co-investments in Canada and to expand HarbourVest’s local presence in the market.
Prior to joining HarbourVest, she worked with BDC Venture Capital, where she was responsible for the establishment of a team focused on direct and indirect investments across Canada. Her previous experience includes positions at Nur Energie in London, London Business School, Nomura International, and Salomon Brothers, among other roles. Senia received a JD (summa cum laude) from LUISS University in Rome in 1987 and a Masters in Law and Economics (Fulbright Scholar) from Columbia University in 1989. Haroon F. Mirza
Entrepreneur in Residence at OneEleven @haroonfmirza Haroon F. Mirza is the Entrepreneur in Residence of OneEleven, a post-seed tech accelerator focused on helping Canada’s most promising, high-growth startups commercialize their technologies and scale their operations.
Prior to OneEleven, Haroon was the Entrepreneur in Residence at OMERS Ventures, which he joined after serving as Director of Business Development – Anonymous Viewer Analytics at Intel. Before that, he was the Co-founder & CEO of CognoVision, named Canada’s Most Innovative Company in 2009, which was acquired by Intel in 2010. An accomplished entrepreneur, Haroon’s skills and experience include leading all stages of the commercialization process including idea development, fund raising, product launches, obtaining reference customers, and revenue generation. His deep commitment to the advancement of entrepreneurship includes serving as a Charter Member for TiE Toronto and sitting on the Advisory Board of Venture for Canada. Haroon graduated from Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce, and completed Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development (PLD). |
